Staalehuset AS wants you, as a user, to feel confident that we safeguard your privacy and process all personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Personal Data

To use the online booking service, you must provide your name, address, telephone number, and email address. In order to register an order, information regarding the rental period and the equipment reserved or ordered must also be stored. The service is restricted to users aged 18 years or older, and you are therefore required to provide your year of birth.

When you use the service, your order history is stored. These personal data are used to provide the service to you. The data are retained for as long as you remain registered as a user with us.

The personal information we have registered is available to you and can be updated through your account page within the online booking service after logging in. You may also contact us and request that your personal data be deleted or that your account be removed from our systems. In such cases, you will no longer be able to use the service unless you register again.

Personal Data of Third Parties

Staalehuset AS will not sell, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties. The online booking service is managed through a system provided by Staalehuset AS.

Payment Information

When you place an order, your payment card information is stored by our payment provider, DIBS, in order to manage your order. DIBS stores this information securely and responsibly and is PCI certified.

This enables us to process order modifications, release payment reservations such as security deposits, issue refunds, charge additional costs incurred by the user (for example, due to late returns, damage, or similar circumstances), and reduce misuse and losses.

Transaction information is stored in relation to your order; however, payment card details themselves are not stored by us. Transaction information is retained for as long as you remain registered as a user of the service, as described in the section on personal data.

Use of Collected Information

The personal data collected for these purposes include both information that you provide directly (such as your name and email address) and information collected through your use of the service, including the equipment you rent, location information, and technical information about your device and internet connection.

Personal data may be supplemented with publicly available information obtained from third-party providers.

Cookies

When you visit our service, we use various technologies to recognize you as a user and collect information. For example, we use cookies to remember rental dates and selected equipment.

Cookies simplify your use of the service and help us provide relevant information when you visit our website. They are also used to temporarily store information such as available rental dates, pricing, and similar data.

Through server logs and other tools, we may collect information about your device and connection to our service, including your operating system, browser version, IP address, cookies, and unique identifier files.

This information is used in anonymous and aggregated statistics but may also be linked to your user account. Among other things, it enables us to optimize and adapt the presentation of our service to the device you are using.

Choose the product station closest to you. Book and pay online. Done.

If you have chosen home delivery, you will have the equipment delivered before your rental period begins and picked up after your rental period has ended.
